(no subject)
hrmm well let's see... things that are going on...
those Anita Blake books (by Laurell K. Hamilton) are muchly addictive. MUCHLY. At least at Half Price Books I was able to the (almost) last 4 for the price of 2 :) (I've read the first 8 in a week *manages to looks slightly ashamed* I wonder if I have time to hunt down and read the next 5? hrmmmm...)

cats are Way Cool
I got to see my cousin Anna and her husband Robert/Pedro for the first time in over a year :) I was in their wedding and then they immediately got shipped to North Dakota (he's an AF pilot). They are in town for a few days so the almost the whole family got together (ok so my family and my dad's sister's family - 8 of us in all) to visit my grandmother and eat lunch. We went to Fudruckers - they have veggieburgers there - pretty nifty :)
My seester even made it into town to see me off since she won't be able to come down before I leave on Friday.
I am still trying to pack - it is NOT easy. I mean, how does a person really pack for 2 years? I still have a bunch of little stuff to get, like batteries, school supplies, toiletries, stationary, and gifts for my host family. bleh. I'm not a big fan of packing, I guess. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed but am still excited. Scared but excited. I really hope I do well and meet at least everyone's minimum expectations. Eep O.O My new mantra: "Everything will be okay. It's all good."
The kitties continue well - they are happy that I moved my sleeping quarters back into my (read: their) room so they can snuggle with me... and so they can walk on me when they are bored and demand snakiepoos when they are hungry :):P *thought buble here: I really need to scoop their litter boxes. These kitties have a lot of, um, output :P* Little do they know, they are going to have a little trip to the vet this coming week for checkups and vaccinations before I leave. muwahahahaha.
I am SOOOO excited - guardian_dragon is coming to visit on Thursday!!! Yay! *happy kt dance*
