being home is a bittersweet feeling. it is almost depressing to know that I won't see all these people together at the same time. then I remind myself that being a rescue rider was the single greatest and most influential experience of my life and how I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. we refuse to accept that violence is the way of the world; we refuse to be ignored by the leaders of our country; we refuse to be taken over by apathy and stand idly by while our brothers and sisters of the world are being massacred. we are the young people who will risk everything to make this world a better place.
