Osozaki no Himawari ~Boku no Jinsei, Renewal~
Starts 2012.10.23 on Tuesdays at 9PM
Junno
http://www.fujitv.co.jp/osozakino_himawari/ Announced on the TAG-TUNE DRIVING radio special (2012.09.16), Junno will be a regular in this Fuji TV human drama starring
Ikuta Toma. Currently there is no other information on Junno's role, but this entry will be updated when more details are revealed. Junno will play Aoyama Kaoru, a nurse at Shimanto Central Hospital. The heroine, Nikaidou Kahori (
Maki Yoko), is a doctor that has just started a new job at that hospital. The official site offers no other information, instead teasing, asking what kind of role it is (similar to how Fuji also talked about Ranmaru when that role was first announced).
The main 7 actors/actresses of this drama have already been named, so it's believed that Aoyama Kaoru is a minor supporting role. Think Hotta and Ranmaru screentime, maybe less since the cast is much larger than those previous dramas.
JDramas Wordpress - "Kodaira Jotaro (Ikuta Toma) is a youth of today who lives from day to day reasonably contented and anxious as a temporary worker. But one day, when he should have been hired as a full-fledged employee in recognition of his steady work performance, his company unexpectedly downsizes by laying off its part-time and temporary workers. His unemployment is the catalyst for the break up with his girlfriend of 7 years. Jotaro returns to his family whom he has grown apart from, but it is not a place where he can be himself with the presence of his reliable younger brother who works at the local government office. Just as Jotaro is ready to despair, he suddenly learns of the activities of the Kochi Shimanto ‘Area Revitalisation Cooperation Volunteers’ through the internet. Taking an interest in it, he decides to live in Shimanto City which he is a complete stranger to. Kahori (Maki Yoko) works at leading edge medical department for cancer as a houseman after graduating from a famous private Tokyo medical college. This has been her dream since high school days. However, one day, she is asked by her supervising doctor to transfer and is sent to her hometown of Shimanto City to be a clinician at the municipal hospital. With her dream shattered, a despondent Kahori happens to ride on the same train bound for Kochi as Jotaro. Because of that incident, Jotaro feels a sense of affinity as fellow friends who have moved out from Tokyo, but his optimism rubs Kahori the wrong way."
