Purdue...here I come!

Well, I was really excited last night to be heading up to Purdue so that I could finally register and get set. My mom and I rode up with Jake and his mom and we got there super-fast b/c Jake was driving (we got there in 2 1/2 hours). Then we went to Arni's, where it orginated, and ate dinner. Afterwards, one of my mom's friends, JoAnne, met up with us and we went past the old Steve n' Barry's to see if it was open, as well as Wal-Mart, where they were selling some Purdue items. Then we went back to JoAnne's house, and I began to get ready for the next day. Around 11:30 I went to bed, but I didn't sleep well because I was in a really old house that squeaked and squawked a lot.

I woke up at 6:30 and got ready for the day. We arived on campus and went to this seminar thing that lasted 2 hours and it was all about First-year Engineering. Afterwards, I met with one of the Engineering advisors, Professor Oakes, whom my mom and I really enjoyed and we got my schedule all worked out. I agree with Hillary, it's tough to follow, but I think it will be alright. I'm taking 6 classes, adding up to 16 Credit Hours. Engineering 106 is 2 hours, Chemistry 115 is 4, Math 165 is 4, English 106 is 4, Engineering 104 is 1, and Engineering 194 is 1. Not too bad, and I'm hoping that I did okay on my Chemistry exam to possibly test out, but I don't think I did THAT well. Afterwards we went and ate lunch because I was starving. I stood in line for my picture ID, went to an Information fair, took the Spanish test-out exam where I got exempt from Spanish 101, and then went to Windsor Halls to get a tour of the whole building. I think that is when I got the most excited because it is such a beautiful Hall and I think it is so quaint and cute! A couple other girls I know are living there, so that should be fun. After that I set up my internet account for Purdue and then hit the road home!

After such an exciting day, I am really tired but I am, like I said, so excited! College seems like it will be a blast, I just have to make sure I keep to the books and develop some relationships with my Professors. Have a great day everyone & God Bless!
