Today was my last day at Providence, & I must say, I'm not too upset. I know I can always come back and visit & yes I know, it's never the same, but I realized that I am for the most part ready to move on. I guess I've always been that kind of person. My calculus final was super tough & religion we had a mean game of Euchre going on. Chemistry I took my last quiz of high school ever & I felt like I did a really good job. I think he avoided grading them in class because he knew I would freak out if I did bad. Oh well! Afterwards I came home, ate lunch, and just kinda chilled. I volunteered myself to go back to Providence & pick up John, but ended up having to wait a 1/2 hour for him, putting me in not so pleasant of a mood.
The next task of the day was work. While I've been trying to get things finished up for school, I've been trying to get stuff for lifeguarding together. Usuallly it is not a problem, but this year I'm slacking a little. There are some things I have yet to do & the pool opens Saturday! I feel like there is a lot going on besides the pool that I need to worry about, but this is my job because I am the Head Lifeguard. Anyway, after taking care of some office work, the other guards got up to the Elk's and we started doing all the dirty work of the pool. For those of you who have never worked as a lifeguard, or do not have your own pool, you may be surprised when you hear what I am about to say. Being a lifeguard is 75% being a janitor. Keeping the pool clean is a lot of hard work & as many of you know, I like things clean & organized, so it is done often. Our vacuum is from the 1980's so it is the biggest pain. Half the time we have to coax it in to working. We had to clean the gutters of the pool, spray down the deck, pull the chairs out of a tiny room ( a big pain), clean all the chairs, and much more. The exciting news: we still aren't done. We wrapped it up at 6:30 because there wasn't much more to do for that day and people were getting hungry.
I came home and took a shower and decided I was hungry, but no one was home to cook. So I called someone who had invited me to come over and found out that they would serve me a meal at the same time: The Clark Household. So I got in the car and drove up there, and that's where I chilled watching Dodgeball and relaxing after one busy day. Good times.
God Bless and have a great day!
