Merry (Belated - Very...) Christmas!
Ok, ok, so it's 4 days late (I was supposed to post this yesterday...) but hardly anyone would have probably seen it already if I had posted it before...
To be honest, the time before Xmas has pretty much merged into one... I can't remember what I did on what day!
I know I did a fair amount of work (boo!) and of reading Northern Lights/Subtle Knife/Amber Spyglass (which I still have to finish) but that's pretty boring to write about, never mind read! Lol
I did see Sam for a bit, which was lovely :) We went to Santa Fe (and got there early cos we were worried about getting a table, but it was fine!) and I had burritos om nom! Lots of chatting and catching up :) Then we went to the bar downstairs and chatted some more! It got very busy so we decided to find somewhere else, but being the last working day before xmas for a lot of people, everywhere was pretty packed. We did find a seat in the traditional pub though, and chatted some more til about 9.30, when Sam was very tired (well she had been up since 2am!)
I also saw Enchanted at the cinema with my sis and her friend Rich (for free :D), which was good :) And Hannah, who I haven't seen much since we left junior school, popped round for a quick chat which was nice :)
Then on Xmas Eve I went to see Becky in work for a bit, which was nice. Then in the evening Leah, Becky and Mat came to pick me up in Leah's car :) We were gonna go to the local Wetherspoons but there was nowhere to park, so we drove around aimlessly, playing the likes of Girls Aloud and then this Irish song called 'Finnigan's Wake' (which is about a fight that starts at a Wake and then the guy isn't dead... lol) loudly like chavs on the soundsystem lol. In the end, we decided to drop the car at Leah's house and walk to her local pub and just sat there, chatting and catching up and then for a quick It Box session, before getting a lift back :)
Then it was CHRISTMAS!
Christmas Day was fairly uneventful but still nice :) I was half awake for ages and then when I got a txt from Rob I ended up going back to sleep... I eventually woke up at about 10am and got ready and went downstairs, ready for presents! We opened them all together, and I got:
- Guitar Hero 3 and guitar
- FFI & II
- FF4 (although it hasn't arrived yet...)
- FF5
- FF6
- travel jewellery box
- some makeup
- Heroes calendar
- mug
And from other people:
- £100 from my grandad!!
- a to-me-to-you bear from my sis
- some more money from various people
- House series 1 from Becky
Still got Rob's family to go!
The rest of the day was spent eating, watching TV (Dr Who <3) and me playing GH3... Just nice :)
Then Boxing Day was much the same - lots of GH3 lol (I've now passed all but one song on Easy, and all but one of those is 5*s and unlocked a load of bonus songs and played those, and also passed 9 medium songs) and a bit of TV, but there wasn't anything much on really...
As for Thursday, I went shopping with my sis! Bought 3 pairs of jeans (2 of my current pairs are wearing down in... an unfortunate area...), 4 CDs (2 Foo Fighters albums, Fratellis and Snow Patrol), The Ex on DVD and a Heroes calendar for Rob :) Then we wandered down to Gunwharf and met my parents at the cinema to go and see St Trinians - it was good! And for those people who loved Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice, there are a couple of things paying homage to that... lol. Got back and had another roast dinner, which was om nom! Then played a bit more GH3 >.>
Then yesterday I didn't do much in the morning, then went over to Wetherspoons to see Becky and Leah for a bit of a chat, before going to Woolworths to sort out Xmas presents to and from Leah, before Becky and Leah both had to go. It was still nice catching up with them though :) Won't see Leah now for ages :( Then when I got back I started on my House DVDs!
Won't be around for a while now - got a family meal now, then going to Rob's straight afterwards and staying there for a few days :) Have a good New Year everyone!
