today was a good day. erin and i had to wake up at 8 to go down to a baptist church to volunteer. we organized and sorted school supplies for katrina victims in memphis that couldn't afford to buy school supplies. it was pretty fun and i felt like i was actually doing something to help my community. amazing what doing something for people less fortunate than you can do to make you feel a lot better abotu what ever problems you have in your own life. any thing going on in my life is so insignificant compared to what katrina victims have had to go through. after losing their homes, most of their possesions, and their city they had to migrate to a foreign city. FEMA support is slowly drying up for these people because the rest of the country seems to have forgotten about the aftermath. getting jobs and housing is hard for the katrina victims. its all just a big mess and no one seems to be stepping up to fix it.
i regestered for school today. my locker is in the st. agnes building right next to my home room so thats convienient. i got to see a bunch of girls i haven't seen since school let out. i'm a little excited about school starting up again. i must say i miss my schedule. but i'm pretty excited i get to miss the first day and a half of school to move brian in to school. we're heading up to chattanooga to move him in tomorrow and i'll be home again thursday night.
weird how getting up early makes the day seem so much longer. hah.
