(no subject)
To be frank, I’m very scared to be stuck in the environment where everybody speaks Cantonese, cos I cant understand a single word at all… a good thing is that when people scold you, you can just act blur (in fact you don’t have to act). And the advice we get is to speak pure English when ppl scold us in canto. The bad thing is that you cannot get your ideas conveyed. A very good example of it is when I order food. My friends asked me what do I eat in HK.. My answer would be no idea! LOL, cos I am trying a new dish everyday to see what is nice. And I would just say okie when people asked me a question when I order food. So sometimes I get very funny food/ drink that I didn’t want. For example hot lemon tea and hot tomato soup :x The hot milk tea here is not to my liking too! I prefer the Singapore Kopitiam kind, the one you add condensed milk haha…The cold milk tea is quite okie, but I seldom drink it, I wanna try gongcha! The thing my friends always miss is spicy food, so we will go out and search for spicy food.. the best one is the Thai food… Hainanese chicken, tom yam soup and kang kong. I never like kangkong, but this one is really yummy! I miss chilli padi! The only time I get to eat it is during the steamboat, but steamboat is not nice … The food I like here are long po bing, and egg tart..which is very cheap! One egg tart is ard 0.50sgd! and I like to eat dimsum! That’s when the time I can eat veggies :/
The mac here is really cheap.. everything including big mac costs less than 5sgd at usual price! The special promotion of fillet o fish costs $3+ only! But the queue at mac is always short, cos ppl normally don’t eat mac during lunch hours lol
Xu liu shan is like koi in Singapore. There are branches everywhere and it’s famous for the mango desserts..
The visit to Lantau Island, Da Yu Shan!
The weather was really hot but the beancurd they sold there is really nice! Cos I don’t like the 糖浆 they put in Singapore. The one they put in HK is like ginger stuff.. but it’s really nice :D We went to Tai-O village and the tour guide warned us not to take the boat to look at pink dolphins! Haha cos he said he took the boat 20 times but he never see the pink dolphin one time at all. LOL We went to the factory outlet near the airport, but didn’t buy any clothes haha.. i really have a nice time looking at the scenery
