Wine tasting party
Darlene and I have a friend, Karol, who hosts THE best theme parties. Her latest venture was a "wine-tasting" event. Each couple was assigned a country from which they had to bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer or dessert. And then we voted on the best-tasting wine. I was assigned Italy (go figure), so off I went with an Italian merlot and a ravioli appetizer (made with my very Italian boss's very Italian mother's own canned tomatoes.) And guess what? I brought my camera. And guess what? I am posting a picture of the very illusive, but oh-so-fabulous Ms. LaCroix.

And by the way, Darlene's merlot from France was voted BEST wine (even the label was awesome.) I feel I owe Italy an apology. This IRISH girl did it an injustice. Italy should have kicked France's butt. Guess I shoulda' just showed up with a six-pack of GUINESS and called it a night! ;-)
