Week of Writing, Day Four: The Hermit

Jan 18, 2007 22:56

Woah. Okay. So day four was a bit harder than expected. This was due partially, I believe, from a sudden overwhelming feeling of restlessness, which was followed by the realization that I'd only left the apartment once in five days. "Oh dear," I said, and decided to take a walk.

So a trip to Bakka (on foot), a few new books, and a nice long coffee break later, I was back and much more productive. Though I didn't achieve the kind of word count that I had over the past two days, I managed to not only find a nice breaking point for the Longest Scene Ever, but also to write my way through to the end of that major sequence of events. Whew.

I might write some more this evening. I'm not sure, though; every time I tell my brain that it's time for more words, my brain replies, "Ummmm ..."

We shall see if any inspiration hits when I go poke at the open files a bit more. Otherwise: reading, sleeping. These things are good too.
