The international exchange rate places the Chinese Yuan's value at .15 of the US Dollar's. There's not a whole lot you can buy in America for 15 cents, but in China, 1 yuan can get you a lot:
-one-way bus fare
-bottle of water
-pound of spinach
-2 eggs
-cantaloupe on a stick
-grilled meat on a stick
-2 steamed buns
Economics is weird.
Also, I got a new teapot. It cost 130 yuan.
