Food and Stuff
One more political statement and then off to other things. Thought I'd mention how the Prop for redistricting California passed by a slim margin. Don't be surprised if you start seeing California turn more conservative now because of it. California really only has a few liberal areas. The rest of it is conservative. There may be a lot of significant changes ahead for CA. And as for Prop 8, my guess is that we'll see it again in 2-4 years. We already had a similar one like this a few years ago and it passed by a larger margin. This time, it was a lot closer. It will happen soon.
So, sometimes I forget who I am talking to when I say certain things. The other day, Chum was warming up a potato in the microwave and I said, "Ah, jacket potato for lunch, huh?" He gave me an odd look and made comments on the words I use. Speaking of jacket potatoes, I found out that my favourite pub in the area opened up a new location closer to where I live. Yay! The only place in town I can get a steak and mushroom pie. Meat is marinated in guinness. Yum.
I bought these frozen paneer pakora appetizer bits from the local Indian store. It's like a homemade cheese dipped in batter and fried. Well, these were hot and rolled in spices and green chilis. Way too much for me since I am sensitive to spice. I gave it to Gothboy to take home. He tried it last night and said he could still feel it today. The talk of paneer made me want to go to the local Indian restaurant and pick up some butter chicken. I think it is my new favourite Indian dish. The Indian boy there recognizes me now and asked me about Chinese food. Poor kid. All he could name were some of the crappy restaurants around this place.
