7 Wonders of the World
I read this article regarding a possible list of the 7 new wonders of the world. I did a poll in October 2002 in my journal about the 7 wonders.
After reading this article, I started wondering if the 7 wonders of the Modern world weren’t really official. Even after re-reading the old poll, I stated that lists of the 7 modern wonders didn’t all match with each other. But from what I remember, it seemed pretty darn close from all the lists I found with only a few exceptions here and there. So if whatever is decided becomes the ‘official’ list, then I guess all the other lists I found kind of go out the window.

Edit: I'm not digging this new 7 wonders, especially since they threw in the pyramids again. The pyramids should be left as part of the ancient wonders and then a new list should be formed. Only issue is that the time period for these things is very different. Ancient wonders list was created based on the beginning of western civilization, which had nothing to do with places such as China, the Pacific, and South America. The new list is going to be a mix of just about everything that is still standing.
