I don't understand the hype over Dakota Fanning and this movie.
Rape happens people.
The world needs to open its eyes and look around.
Playing the role of a rape victim is not going to ruin Dakota's life.
I think that if she is mature enought to realize what the role entails and had a strong idea that she can play that role with no personal affects then so be it.
She may be young but others have played roles like this young and they turned out fine.
I like how the article asks that maybe its america thats not ready for her in such a role and not the other way around. I could see that as the truth.
Who wants to see the girl from Charolette's Web get raped in a movie.
But its the actress and her agents/parents choice.
