i already figured out most of my schedule
a few days ago, but since then there has been some new information and a change...
i found out just before i left for break that i will be in the weight training LPAP, which is tuesdays and thursdays at ten-fifty until lunch...
also, my math professor from this semester, dr stong, will be teaching a sort of fun-for-all-math-class-elective next semester - the mathematics of gambling, RICH 373, thursday nights from seven to nine... it should be tons of fun... and it should be an a... i really should drop it if it's going to be hard...
ooh ooh ooh... and earlier today patrick found the
course information that is currently up for our philosophy of science class... it sounds just as awesome as we were hoping... basically we'll be having our nerdy lunchtime conversations in class and at lunch... groovy! the most promising parts of this course summary are when he says, "the course mostly concerns physics," and "the last four or five weeks will be spent leading up to and discussing reality as described by quantum mechanics"... i mean, that's badass... i mean, discussing science as it pertains to our ideas of free-will and self-determination... hell, i've been doing that for fun for ages! yay...
the weird thing about this is the book that we'll be primarily discussing... ok, weird isn't exactly the right word... but anyway, just the other day dr rod (he's the archaeology dude) mentioned kuhn's structure of scientific revolutions because of it's impact on archaeology as a science... he said that everyone should read it before they leave rice... and ryan and justin and i all thought "yeah right," since we'd never even heard of the book and we're all se's... and clearly it's more of a philosophical work, but i will end up reading it after all... beyond interesting... mind boggling... woah...
