A lot of changes going on

Radio silence for quite a while, but lots is going on. I went down to DC for meetings, and then to Maryland to help my parents pack up their beautiful house on the Eastern Shore.
They sold it, and that was quite a passage for all of us. I was glad to help them out with the move, but it was a lot. I still feel sad that this beautiful family home where we had lots of good times is gone. Even though I know it's for the best, still I can't help but mourn it.
I moved a lot of furniture etc. up to New England, driving a 15 foot truck all the way by myself! I'm very proud of myself for that!
I got back home, and the poor cat was so sick that I had to put him to sleep on Friday. That week of deprivation was just too much for the old cat. That was very sad, and the other cats miss him. But the rest of the cats are OK, which is great.
Now I'm packing up the ex's stuff, and the movers are coming Thursday. I'm getting new furniture delivered today, so by the end of the week I'll be in a good way to reclaiming my space.
Change is tough. I know it's good change and will work out for the best, but it is tough when you are in the middle of it. Wish me luck!
