March Cooking Event. 3-22-2009

Here we go again everyone. After a few months to collect our thoughts and our wallets, we will be hosting our next cooking event, but some things wil be changes and some things need to be decided.

We have it scheduled for March 22nd, 2009

First and foremost, What would you like to see us cook? is there are particular recipe you would like to see us try, or perhaps food from a particular region that you think sounds interesting? perhaps you want to see if we have to include one ingredient in all our dishes, iron chef style.  Leave comments below on what you'd like to see. There are, of course some limitations. First, we have to be able to find / purchase the ingredients we need locally. There has been a trend towards more prepared/canned ingredients in our cooking of late, so absolute freshness of ingredients is not necessary, all though it is always nice. Second, if you want us to try a recipe, let us know where we can find it. Sometimes one dish can be made many different ways.

Now, I mentioned that some changes, so here we go. it's sounding like our venue is being changed to Oakland, bigger/better kitchen with more counter space, better appliances with more room to sit and eat than Amanda and I can offer out here in Antioch. Also, Oakland is a closer for a lot of people so I'm hoping to see more people there.
