Why don't you move to Chinatown? It's not more than a 10 minute walk from Beacon Hill and it's cheap cheap cheap...plus you could have Chinese food whenever you wanted!

It's called "the combat zone" for a reason. I'm likely to get shot walking around there at night. Oh, and they don't take out the trash, it stinks, and it's loud, ugly, and noisy. Otherwise, yes, it would be perfect, and a five minute walk from where Danielle works.

Poor diddums! Ill and snotty. Don't worry too much re future. Enjoy your twenties--they are a time for fun, learning, fooling around, having job experiences, moving about, relationships, and learning to navigate in the world. You can get serious in your thirties. Grad school will still be there. One idea, get a teaching credential and go work at Putney. The kids will love you, you cool and interesting dude! Or stay in research, at least you woudn't have to deal with apathy and teenage angst.
love, your ant.

I mostly agree with this. Things seem to figure themselves out as you get older, and no matter how much you think you're in charge of your future, your future will take charge and show you what's up. Follow your gut, its easier before you have obligations like a spouse, kids, or a mortgage. Everything will make sense in hindsight.
