First off if you watch me on dA or blogspot, I'm posting this there too. Just FYI.

SO. In case you somehow missed the memo, I am an anthropology major, and one of the classes I have this semester is an archaeology course with Dr. Meniketti (AKA Dr. Manicotti AKA Dr. Pasta.) And every semester all the best students in his classes get a chance to apply to an archaeological dig in the Caribbean on an old plantation. This is an excellent career opportunity, and it's an honour to be chosen to apply.

Now, applying doesn't necessarily mean you're going of course. Out of all the applicants, who are about equally-matched in intelligence and passion, only about 15-20 are accepted. But since Dr. Pasta (That nickname amuses the hell out of me) only chooses his best to apply, there aren't too many applicants to choose from.

As you may have guessed, I was chosen to apply for this tremendous opportunity. IF I get chosen, I'm going to the Caribbean this summer.

BUT there's a matter of cost. I can't afford to go on this archaeological dig AND do the semester I was gonna do in Wroclaw, Poland. Which, in case you didn't know, is something I've been looking forward to for a year - I've been terribly homesick, missing Poland, my homeland I haven't been to since I was about 9.

...what do I do?

In other school news, as long as I'm complaining about it... I have two papers to write - one on sexual behaviour in bonobos, one on Inca child sacrifice.

And also a math test. Because of my discalculia, math is my worst subject. oTL WISH ME LUCK.

So... yeah.
