Yesterday night was pretty crazy. I went to a bat mitzvah party in Gaitherburg. But then on the way home, there was a huge PIC on Montgomery Village Ave and I couldn't get back to I-270. The accident looked pretty bad and I wish I could have stayed to help somehow, but there were already a lot of rescue workers on the scene and I'm not really trained enough to do anything anyway. So...back to the story. I didn't know how to get back to the highway on another road and I was driving around a while when it suddenly hit me that I was pretty damn lost. So, I stopped at the Safeway and asked some cashier for directions. I followed them for about 20 minutes, but of course the directions didnt help cuz I ended up in the same place as before with the blocked off road. Since I was still lost, I stopped at a gas station and some random people tried to help me but winded up sending me on all these weird streets in a totally different direction. So finally I stopped at a 2nd gas station and by this time I was really frusturated. I'd been driving around for 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get past Montgomery Village Avenue and back to the highway. Plus, it was getting pretty late and I had the ACT really early the next morning. So finally, the guy showed me how to get to Shady Grove Rd and I took 370 to 270. Finally, 12 exits, a quarter tank of gas, and 90 minutes later, I arrived home. Moral of the story: Never rely on mapquest and always have an alternate route in case of accidents. I guess I'll just take that as a learning experience...
Anyway, this morning was the ACT which ended up not being too terrible. Except I'm really tired cuz last nite I couldnt fall asleep until 3 since I was so stressed out about my earlier trauma of the night and I was worried about my lack of preparation for the ACT. Man I need to chill out. I mite go for a run just to get some of those endorphins kicking.
Aite I'm out. Peayce
