So because folks asked for it here's more from Boot: So I'm trying to take it easy. Not ask as many questions. If I need to wait until I can get either Petty Officer or Chief alone so it's not a blow up, so be it. I'm also getting that meekness... not a favored trait in the military. In fact being meek doesn't seem to be favored at all, not even amongst church folk.
Today we were up at 4am to go to medical. We had blood drawn and I had to fill extra vials for my Submarine Rate. After that it was on to the classrooms to write our letters home. It was essentially a prefab letter where at the back and very bottom of three pages we were allowed to write something personal. I just wrote home about taking care of my car payments.
Speaking of which last night I dreamt Tones was in my dream... or to be more accurate I was in his dream. I tried to pass on some messages for him to take care of stuff when he woke up (once again some of it concerned the car). I don't know what happened. It'd be nice if I were really able to dream share like that.
Anyways, today, after setting up those letters to be sent I took my DEP test (Delayed Entry Program). It was on everything I should have learned before I left and learned from my recruiters. Most everything I knew from prior knowledge in the world.
I am twenty nine after all.
We also got fitted for our working blues, our camo uniforms. We didn't take all of our gear back with us, but we at least got parkas. Oh! And our own personal raincoats. Well, their actually black trench coats or "all weather" coats. Whatever.
Tomorrow's another early morning. I really need to get some rest. Tonight I'll have to wake up and give a piss sample. Joy.
I found that to be rather interesting. This was still within my first week of Boot and anyone who's been through Basic Training knows that at that point nothing has really happened yet. Hope you liked the post though. Friends, I'm k5h4w. You, my loyal followers, Kreemed. Enjoy.
