Yeah, that is true. The weird things regarding The Dutchman curse was a bit annoying. Despite the very interesting HUGE question to what happened to Will and his crew... This is still a mystery I can't stop thinking about. Because SOMETHING must have happened to make him all barnacled and almost afraid of his crew???

Regarding Jack's backstory, I got a feeling they gook inspiration more from the youth books about Jack? There's quite a few, I've seen around librarian-circuits both online and in RL. Haven't read them though, so I can't say for sure. It would explain the start there with how they tricked Salazar and how young Jack was then.

And it almost feel like I'm cheating on Will, but damn... I really really liked Henry! I think that young actor did a great job, in my eyes! As did the girl. I mean, as a librarian how can I NOT like a girl that is badass because she's studied! :-D

Oh, and I do so agree with you! That she was Barbossas kid, I did not see coming, but... It DOES make sense! And I think it was a good end to Barbossa, even if I am very very sad to see him go. I loved that character to bits! It was so nice to get some backstory to him. Backstory that actually makes sense. He was probably not the only pirate to drop babies off at orphanages...

I liked the way it set up for the next generation, kinda. Will and Elizabeth (and Jack) is still around, but Henry and Carina was a really great couple and team to! I wouldn't mind seeing more of them, to be quite honest. :-)
