Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 7

Sep 10, 2017 01:41

I... What? How? Wait... I'm... I'm... speechless... o.O

I really don't know where to start... o.O And hence it’s taken so long to post this…

[If you don’t get that it’ll be spoilers under here, I don’t even know… SPOILERS!!!!]Best scene though... Tyrion and Cersie! HOLY SHIT!!! Jamie and Cersie! Apparently the scenes with Cersie got my hair on my arms to stand on end... Lena Heady is one HELL of an actress, I'm just saying!

Another actor that I definitely tip my hat to is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays Jamie. Talk about character development! And he FINALLY FINALLY left Cersie there! She might be pregnant with his kid (or not, the jury is still out on that one), but yeah...

Let's take it sort of from the beginning...

So Daenerys supporters with the crazy plan manage to get to King's Landing without getting killed. (YAY!) And there's just so many cool reunions during that! Like the dynamic duo of Bronn and Podrick! Bronn, by the way, has a wonderful theory that he shares with Jamie... It's all about cocks... I tend to agree, dear Bronn!

Tyrion to is happy to see Podrick. No wonder, they've been through alot in the past as well.

Cersie arrives fashionably late, but Daenerys is still not there. She, of course, comes riding her dragon Drogon. I'm not the only one that get the feeling off 'we've seen these grand entrances before, move along!'. Yeah? No?

The meeting continues with Cersie not believing them, yadda yadda, and The Hound opens up the box they’ve brought with them. I thought for a second there that the wight had died, but no. It bursts out and nearly attacks Cersie. And guys? Is this the first time you actually see Cersie look afraid? Like, properly afraid?

She believes them and will help IF!! If Jon Snow stays neutral and won't take sides. Well... A shame there, since he's already taken Daenerys side. AND SAYS IT! :-P IDIOT! Seriously, all this shit he gets from the others once Cersie has left, JON DESERVES, DAMMIT!!! Tyrions is the best. 'Couldn't you have tried to lie? Once?'

So much hate. I still don't like Jon Snow.

So the whole plan is in danger thanks to Jon Snow who fucked up. Tell me again why Daenerys likes him? At least in this episode it looks like they got some chemistry going. First time for me! They talk a bit in the meeting spot, the Dragonpit, and we get a nice piece of history there from Daenerys. Thank you! I love when things like that show up in the show. Since I haven’t read the books, and don’t intend to.

Tyrion goes to meet Cersie alone, and now the AMAZING scenes stand on top of each other from here on out, almost. Because he gets escorted by Zombie-Mountain, clearly prepared to die. First he meets Jamie, and man... That was a touching sweet moment between the two, despite the circumstances. I think they both like each other still.

Less touching is the moment when Tyrion meets Cersie. Dude. I could almost touch the hate that came spewing out from the screen! Holy shit!

But the interesting thing though is that despite Cersie again and again saying she wants to kill Tyrion and now… when she gets the chance… she doesn’t. Not even when Tyrion TELLS HER TO KILL HIM standing right next to The Mountain and his sword! Intense! o.O

He figures out she is pregnant though (is she really?) and apparently that is enough for her to agree for another meeting where she tells them she’ll hold back until Daenerys and Jon has dealt with the threat from the north. She’ll even send troops to help them. Why is that I wonder?

Not to be a downer but I figured she was lying from the start. Really. Cersie is a ruler that ONLY cares about herself. To be honest, she’d have fit right in with the worst Targaryen rulers. Really. She’s really her father's daughter.

Daenerys, Jon and their supporters start their journey back, and Daenerys decides to travel with Jon on a ship.

So… How’re the dragons, Drongon and Rheagal coming home? And is she telling them where to go? Somehow? This dragon-business is confusing.

Anyway, there’s been a little bit of sparks flying between Daenerys and Jon this episode. To me, it’s been going from nothing, nothing, nothing… BAM SEXY TIMES! *lol* Because that’s pretty much what happens. While Tyrion is creeping outside the door. Don’t be a creepy short person there you…. *side eyes Tyrion so hard* I wonder what his issue is though? Politically Jon and Daenerys is a good match. (So far.) Or is it that he has promised Cersie to let her kid be Daenerys successor? The judge is out on that one.

What happened in Winterfell though, had me CHEER!!! Seriously. I was so pissed at how things were playing there during the last episode so I was cringing a bit as we got to Winterfell. But damn, was I in for a nice surprise!

Sansa gets a raven with a message that Jon has bent the knee to Daenerys and pretty much handing over the North on a silver platter (not going to go over well with the other northern lords, I would guess…). She’s not happy about it and asks…. Littlefinger for advice. Also what to do with Arya. What with the stupid STUPID conflict between the two. Going from what Sansa says to Littlefinger it sounds like she thinks Arya is going to kill her (WTF?).

Talking about Littlefinger, it feels like his played out his part by now. Not sure what to say about what they’ve done with him this season. Not necessarily bad, but it’s not good either.

So, Sansa, who is acting ruler of the North in Jon’s absence (and is doing a damn good job to!), calls for a trail. Everyone is in the room/hall and Arya is brought in to be up for trail.

At this point I was tearing my hair, because I felt that this whole thing with Sansa and Arya was JUST SO STUPID! Before this whole thing they’d gone out of their way to show that Sansa was a good and smart Lady of Winterfell and to show that Arya was a good and clever assassin. Just to throw it out the window. So you could say I was a bit pissed about the last episode.

But then… they throw a curveball of awesome! Because Sansa reads up the charges and then instead of facing Arya, she turns her head and stares down Littlefinger.

Me at this point: FUCK YES!

He is guilty for SO MUCH so he needed his come uppance… And does he get it! She keeps throwing accusations at him, and he is first trying to talk the men from the Vale into taking him away from there, but they refuse to. By just shocking him and Bran finally being off use they’ve stripped him bare. And he is left begging not having much to say to his defense. Everything he says, Bran and definitely Sansa has a comeback for.

Littlefinger gets his sentence and has his throat cut by Arya.

Thanks and goodbye to you, Littlefinger! He was a great villain, and the actor was AMAZING, so I’ll miss him for that, but the character had played out his role.

I was glad how they ended the Winterfell section with Arya and Sansa on the wall talking and being friends. THANK YOU!!! Those two girl will rule Winterfell like there’s nobody's business. Jon can go fuck and live with Daenerys for all I care, the girls will do just fine alone! Better even, I’d say!

Before we leave Winterfell though, Sam arrives there with Gilly. And he comes to visit Bran, who is both hilarious and freaky at the same time. Apparently he can’t hang out with regular people anymore.

And apparently Sam WAS paying attention when Gilly read the part of Rhaegar and Lyanna getting married and all that… Because he tells Bran as much, when Bran tells him that he needs to let Jon know he is not a Snow but a Sand, a Dorne bastard. Which he isn’t. Lyanna and Rhaegar were legally married. And Jon’s legal name is Aegon Targaryen… Bran even goes back in time to watch the marriage!

All this while we see Jon having sex with Daenerys… his aunt. This show really like it’s incest. Although, to be fair, neither know anything about this. Yet. And the Targaryen’s have never really given a fuck in the past, have they? Not to mention this gives Jon a stronger hold on the Iron Throne than Daenerys… even if I doubt that he’d want it.

So that’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out…

The episode ends at East Watch, where Beric Dondarion and Tormund have a moment. I love Tormund. He needs to make giant babies with Brianne one day. He has SUCH a crush on her!!! Also, I think he is kinda hot! Don’t judge. I like my men muscular and with a beard… *side eyes hubby* I must have a type.

They talk and then suddenly see a wight come out of the woods below the wall. Wight is not alone and soon the whole army is marching out.

Me: Shit is about to get real!!!

That’s not all though, because the Night King himself arrives. Riding Visarion, and I was almost screaming. Well, I didn’t because I would have woken up my kid. X-D

The dragon Viserion is very much undead. A wight or a white walker, it’s up for debate. But he is clearly doing the Night King’s will. And Viserion attacks the Wall. With blue fire. And it crumbles and starts falling.

All the men on the well, including Beric and Tormund starts running like fuck to get the hell out of there, and I’m like: NOOOOOO!!! He needs to make giantbabies with Brianne!!!

There’s no telling if Beric and Tormund made it as the wall crumbles and falls and the whole army marches through the hole and starts their march south. And it’s A LOT of them!!! So that was impressive.

What did not impress me though was how the wall fell. Because… it was just one corner of it? I’d have expected a bigger part of it to fall over, kinda… :-P Meh.

But Viserion was really cool! Things are going to be even MORE insane next season!

Overall I think this season though was the series weakest. Despite the fact there were scenes that were so epic here and there I almost fell of the couch. And every episode left me panting with adrenaline coming out my ears wondering what the fuck just ran over me… But the plot holes were way more obvious this season and it felt far more rushed. Which was a shame.

Keeping my fingers crossed for season 8. Which apparently we won’t see until 2019. *CRIES!*
