PotC-fan has a rant... And the reason for my absence.

I rewatched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides the other day. Well, I've rewatched all four of them since I ended up in a roleplaying Will Turner, cursed Captain of the Flying Dutchman in a RPG (slashed with Dean Winchester from Supernatural. Yep. It works.). And I LOVE and adore the first three movies! Well, my favorites being Dead Man's Read more... )

Sorry to hear you've been so down. The problems with the unemployment money sound like one of those horrible red tape nightmares. I do hope you get it sorted soon.

As for the LJ kerfuffle, or whatever it was, I'm afraid that one just passed me by. Being so monofandom, and the Buffyverse being such a fannish backwater these days, it just didn't register with me at all. Sorry it upset you so much.

Strangely, for being an LJ-kerfuffle, it very much blew up on Twitter... Which is... odd. Still upset me though. :-P Looking at facts is apparently not 'cool' anymore. :-/

My problems with the unemployment fund is SOLVED though! :-D I got paid my support today! :-D YAY! And now they want more paperwork. Nay... But at least now I know who to call to get it as quick as possible. ;-)

That's good news.

And I knew I was right to avoid Twitter for the most part.

Twitter has turned out to be an addiction of mine. And it's mostly a nice place. All depends on who you follow, I suppose... But hate and negativity? It don't matter what site it's on, I really really hate it. :-/

Keeping my fingers crossed for you to get that fixed soon - the unemployment fund are rather shitty with the paperwork. :-( They only see the papers, not the people.

*hugs* Hope you find something to give you the joy back!

The unemployment fund has a thing for bureaucracy, don't they? But I did get it fixed, apparently since I got paid today! :-D YAY! SUCH a relief... And now they want more paperwork since I've been hired by the hour at a school here for a few days... X-D At least now I know who to call to get said papers quickly. :-D

RPG's, the fandom kind, apparently has a tendency to give me some joy back. That and the crazy amounts of friends I've managed to get over the years online. :-)

I'm so sorry about all the problems you're having with unemployment. I really hope they can get all the paperwork cleared up soon and get you what you need. Worrying about money is one of the worst worries there is. I hope things work out for you very soon and that you don't feel so down. *hugs*

Although I wasn't part of the fandom, I totally agree with you about PotC. The only good thing about the fourth movie was the little tiny part by Oscar Jaenada as the Spaniard. I have a massive crush on him and endured that movie just for him, but I gotta admit I fast-forwarded through parts. Why oh why are they making a fifth?!

Take care of yourself, lovely, and hope you feel better soon! <3

Yeah, I used to be heavily involved in the PotC fandom back in the day. Especially involved with the Will Turner part of the fandom. And when the forth movie arrived? There was an OUTRAGE! And then it died down. I mean, the US Turner-fans had meetups several times a year for a few years there! Crazy time, those active years...

So yeah. Why, oh why indeed...? I missed The Flying Dutchman SO BADLY in the forth one. I love that ship. According to rumors it was supposed to be one of the bottled ships in Blackbeards cabin, but... I don't know. I've looked at the scene sooooo many times, but not seen it. Captain Turner and the Flying Dutchman is collecting souls to ferry to Fiddlers Green. It just don't make sense that it would NOT appear in any of the other movies. It makes no sense at all.

*frustrated* Sorry about rant, moving on...

And I have solved my troubles with the unemployment fund, since I got paid my support TODAY! WOHOO! No more money-worries for quite a while! :-D *pleased*

Hello beautiful,

I'm so sorry to hear about the issues with unemployment. Don't forget though, I've been around here for a long time and at least once a year (if not more) there's an issue with that damned office. It'll work out this time. And I know it sucks to have to 'live off' Peting- you know me, and it would bother me too- but at least he doesn't mind, and it isn't forever. It's just a very temporary obstacle and you will make it through.

I can't empathize with you on POTC cuz i didn't like the last movie at all, and I didn't even bother to watch the newest one.

And I'm sorry about LJ drama. That's why you should be like me! I have less than 20 people on my friends list and 3 of them are your family. :P

Three first PotC-movies, Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest and At Worlds End? I LOVE THEM TO DEATH! But the fourth one? Not so much, no... :-/ I wouldn't say I hate it, but I do dislike it quite a great deal.

I'll take your advice to heart. :-) Cleaning out my f-list is my next task on my LJ-to-do-list. ;-)

The issues with the unemployment fund is SOLVED! :-D WOHOO! They now have all the paperwork needed, and if they need more? I now know where to call! :-D Feels SOOOOO much better now! It seems like no matter what hurdle that fund throws at me, I seem to be able to find a solution. :-) It just takes time sometimes. *LOL*

Time, and patience. Patience with that freaking office!! I'm glad you got through it, I know it'll happen again, and I'll be here for it then too. In the meantime let's rejoice!!

Patience with bureaucracy, I'd say! I mean, the social security in Sweden is pretty awesome! But to get it you need to jump through quite a bit of bureaucracy hops. :-P I am getting quite good at that. ;-) *rejoices at having succeeded yet again*
