Birthday parties and geekness... oh, and the meme...
The birthday party we went to yesterday, was actually quite nice. Josse was happy to see us all, and we played board games all of us during the evening/night. Aunt treated us to wine, so mom ended up spending the night there, and peting73 turned out to be the designated driver. ;-) Fun was had by all. Boring to drive that far though. :-P
We had an interesting discussion in the car though, me and peting73. He knows I love slash stories, both male and female. He also knows I RP alot on LJ. And that I, in those games, usually play either homosexual or bisexual characters. :-) He has no problems with that, but as an old GM of regular roleplaying games, he was curious on how it alll worked what with journals and communities and mods/GMs. :-) So we discussed that and the differences with regular roleplaying games and web-based. :-) Was fun! Even though I was tired as hell. We didn't end up at home until 2am in the morning. o.O
When I told peting73 about cityofdesai though, he thought it was close to a scandal that there were no Discworld characters (especially Death), Hellraiser characters (especially Pinhead) or even World of Warcraft characters (especially Vol'Jin, since the poor troll needs some loving...). X-D Have I mentioned lately how awesome peting73 is? ;-)
