Fun to change your
layout around when you actually have time to do it. :-) It is nice to be off from work when you know you actually have a work to go back to. I won't until Monday though. Bright and early. After 30mins walk in snow and cold...
It is still very cold here in Sweden. And anyone reading who is not from Sweden might think: WTH? Isn't it supposed to be? Well, yes. But these last 10 years or so we haven't even had nearly any snow during the winters and it has just been... well grey and wet to say the least. This year however, old King Winter really has put his clutches on Sweden, let me tell you... It stays between 10-15 degrees Celsius (14-5 degrees Fahrenheit) every day, and tomorrow it is supposed to be even colder. And it snows... Not much each time, but it snows often. Good thing us swedes haven't forgotten how to act when real winter hits. Me? I love driving in this kind off weather. Yeah, I know it is nutsy, but I do. :-)
Been out driving today, actually. I played around in GIMP a bit with the photo I got from J, to make him look a bit more un-human, a bit more vampire-like. I think I succeeded. :-) Then I called the print place downtown to ask them to print it for me. (They got better paper and can wrap it in plastic to.) No problem, they said and I emailed it there. Stupid me though, I didn't check there opening hours... So I drove down town with plenty off time before 6pm, since all stores close at 6pm, right? Well, apparently not since they closed at 5pm. I was there 5:05pm. Fuck. :-/ I guess I'll take a drive in the snow tomorrow to. I need that photo saturday when I am to play Rose again. :-)
Talking off which. Some off your comments on my
long post about Rose amused me some, I must admit. And I have seen the same reaction among my LARP-buddies. You all think I am disappointed that Rose survived her suicide-mission. Yes, I did expect her to die. After attacking the Prince of the City, your supposed to get a death-sentence according to the traditions among the vampires. So, I wasn't disappointed. Just... VERY surprised. And shocked. But now I am over the shock, and am now plotting more evilness for the insane vampiress that haunts the city... *wicked grin*
Anyway, before I run off to do... Well, other silliness... ;-) Not unusual when I am not working. (
peting73 is mostly watching movies or TV, playing WoW and taking long walks when he is off work...)
I found these two short films/movies that I really really liked. I wouldn't call them cartoons, but... Well, they are definitly different. :-) Lets start with the newer one.
It is called ALMA. (
Website HERE.) It has this Tim Burton creepy gorgeous cuteness to it. If you know what I mean. I can't recommend checking this out enough. To see the movie you'll have to go to the
website. It is right there, first thing you'll see under the header. It is only 5 and half minutes long. It is time well spent. :-) Go watch! Shoo!
The other short is very VERY much older. From 1936, at the beginning of the First World War. I adore cartoons from this time and up to the 50's. The golden age of cartoons. This, however, is not a Disney-cartoon. Although Mickey Mouse is in it. This is a cartoon that I suspect is made in either Japan or China, I am not sure. Even though they don't speak english, it is not hard to follow the action, so to speak. Watch it. It is quite interesting to see a cartoon like this. Rare to.
