Been awhile since I updated, eh? :-) Well, much has happened, and it is all good. This weekend was great, despite the fact I worked. :-P
Lets start with friday, eh? I was off work, so slept in cleaned the apartment, and myself. Then it was time for the planned visit to the Gothenburg Operahouse. Me and my dear, dear friend
spicehobbit discovered awhile ago that Sweeney Todd was coming to Gothenburg! The same week (I think) we ordered tickets. We took the more expensive once, and man am I glad we did!!!
We got GREAT seats on the first balcony!!! Saw the scene perfectly! The music was magnificent! The actors for the lead roles were the cast from West End in London. They were AMAZING! To quote my mother, I could feel the music in my chest. I really really did. There weren't much things on the scene, but that was fine. That made the performance of the actors so much more crystal clear, in a way. And the cutting of throats was very cleverly done to. You can do much with lighting on a stage.
This was the first time I was at a theater since I saw Miss Saigon in Boston in 1997. I truly enjoyed myself. Must go to theaters/musicals more often!
A funny note about our Opera adventure was when I was to go to work on saturday, I found a note on the car. I thought, wth?? Checked it, and noted it was a parking-ticket. From Gothenburg. Again, scratching my head thinking wth? I knew we'd payed for our parking and from what I could remember there were no signs there that said no parking or anything. Worked saturday and got home to hubby. We discussed it a bit, and decided I was to call the parking-office-thing and check up on it monday. That didn't happen though since a good friend of ours and his lady called asking, doing anything? Wanna start up a role playing campaign playing vampires? Answer from us: HELL YES! They live in Gothenburg, so we figured lets drive by the Operahouse and check the parking we were at, just in case. And we did. And we noted that both me and
spicehobbit must be blind. You needed a special permission to park there. That we didn't have. We even missed the sign where it said so. The BIG sign. *face-palm* Only one thing to do in that case. Cough up the cash. So typically us, though.... *shakes head*
The rest of saturday evening was wonderful though! I wrote a new vampire character, this time to roleplay pen-paper-style. At first I wanted to play a woman burgler vampire. But while creating my character that changed. Radiclly... He is now a man
and an Italian Casanova burglar vampire with a taste for both men and woman that can make shadows come alive.... He's born in Venice around the year 1200-1300 and is named is Luca Brasi.... This will be interesting I say.
Sunday I did one thing after work, and that was collapse. Between going to see Sweeney and then having fun with vampire-characters... My evenings were really LATE! And then up early in the morning. I almost fell asleep on the phone at work during the sunday....
Today nothing exiting happened though. :-P Slow day at work, went to the gym and then home being lazy ass. Regular day, I'd say.
Right. To tell about monday, I'll have to do something that I so far have never done in my journal. I'll make a friendslooked post... *gasp* If you wanna read it, just comment. Why friendslooked? You'll see. ;-)
