I'm watching the MSNBC feed at work (with headphones). Not to worry, the boss was remarking on one of the guys in the unit taking a sick day and wondering why he didn't just watch it on his computer.
I'm giddy, but it hasn't sunk in yet. Come noon I should be in hysterics, but for now is just subdued, relieved satisfaction.
ETA: this is making me want to write ball!fic with pompous introductions and titles and fanfare and whatnot. Teehee.
- crap, now I'm liveblogging...
- ...Barbara and George Sr. look highly gracious
- the boss just came around asking how I got a feed to work, she can't get it to go for her. Lawl.
- MOVING VAN LOL
- SASHA! MALIA! The first mother-in-law! Mrs. Cheny and Laura "I have to keep this smile on my face" Bush!
- uh oh, the feed is getting choppy...
- Chris Matthews is boasting about MSNBC's "network of the 21st century"-ness and Keith is like "Oh gawd."
- BOOING? Oh, childrens, plz stay classy.
- DAMNIT, now I lost the feed.
- oh, fanfare!
- OH SNAP wait what Barack H. Obama? He's using his full name when he swears in, yes? I'd heard that.
- HAI FEINSTEIN! Wait, did my feed just drop aga- no, it's back.
- ...very subdued applause for Rick Warren. UGH.
My feed keeps FAILING, I've switched to the 1010 WINS one but that's STILL choppy,I just missed Biden's swearing in *pouts*
- WHAT, more music? Oooh, John Williams composition...
- Okay, that was pretty.
- COME ON, INTERNETS, DO NOT FAIL ME NOW.
THE INTERNETS FAILED ME. Yep, missed the swearing in, missed the speech but read a trancript and... wow. Chills. Almost tears just from reading it (with Omaba-voice in my head), I just... no words, he said them all for me, for all of us. *hugs the world*
OH YEAH *edits interests, removes "getting rid of dubya"*
