State of the Journal

I filter. I filter a LOT. The primary reason for this is to spare a minority of my flist from a majority of my posts, so if you're thinking "Wow, Seda posts a lot less than she used to" it's probably out of an effort to avoid boring you. On the other hand this is after all MY journal and I do have perpetual (un)friending amnesty, so... yes. *shrug*

I dropped a lot of communities recently. Hilariously I think who-daily may be next. *sigh* The vast, vast majority of my fannish time in Who is now spent on the anon meme (long may be awesome), I have no idea what to make of this.

ETA: okay so like stuff actually happened this weekend! FIRST OFF: roomie and I spent a large chunk of time with our pet conservative and politics never came up ONCE. I am very proud of all of us.
Friday Night! Dinner at ye olde Houlihan's with the roomie and aforementioned pet conservative. This was followed by wandering around Barnes and Noble (I read comics and was delighted to note that it looked like the "Life" DVD had sold out). Then we went and saw "The Dark Knight" which I had not seen yet. YES REALLY. It took me until last Friday to witness the glory.

Good Lord that was a very long movie. I knew it was going to be Very Long when I found myself thinking "They really are going to Hong Kong, aren't they." It was entertaining, of course. I too enjoy things blowing up and being on fire, Heath was of course magnificent but Christian Bale... eh. Michale Keaton is still my Batman.

Saturday! Hanna comes to New Jersey and the roommate and I did a lot of driving around in it. We're both from Florida so we're like "lol tropical storm!" and did some errands, then at the height of the storm went out to collect Chinese takeout. The evening is spent with me gushing over the glory of South African shiraz and playing board games, dueling iTunes, and poking plans for Ireland Easter Extravaganza '09.

Sunday! Morning is spent lazing around, mourning our brokeness and inability to go into the City on such a beautiful day, then we get a call from our pet conservative inviting us to hang out with him at his folks' house. We do so and play yet more board games, have wonderful pizza for dinner, and are introduced to a lovely Sicilian chardonay. The roomie spent the evening putting together lesson plans and declaring herself unprepared for another year of shaping young minds. I gave her a pep talk and then spent the evening, as I do every evening, squeeing over PNT with Manda.

There. Personal entry. Screencaps of Alan in "Emma" being all poofy-haired and wearing cravats and frock coats will appear soon if you're on that filter.

pointless, this is keri on coffee
