*boggles* What a perfect, powerful story, and how brilliantly it's nestled into canon! Their gradual approach toward each other, culminating in this: She reaches a hand to him in the night, and he takes it gently in his own. made me believe in Ambrose/Queen like I have never done before, as did this: At the first grey blur of dawn he tells her to sleep. She does so, ever trusting of his counsel. and omg.... this innocent phrase: "Whatever shall I do with all those pens?"
A broken prince with a zipper for a crown was a gorgeous description, and this literally gave me chills: She walks to the river as a queen, not a fugitive because she's so genuinely royal here, and again, it's such an ingenius prelude to the canon scene. *mems promptly* Gah! This was beautiful.
I get quotings? *blush, flail* Thank you! All this and a rec, I'm awash with glee.
I'm honestly surprised that this ended up being the first thing I really wrote, and I have no idea how I got inspiration from this bit in the parody. But there you go. I'm so glad you liked it, it means a lot ♥
I sat here for a few minutes, thinking, but I can't think up anything good to say once again. It's beautiful, I will love you eternally for writing it, and you have done this pairing more justice than I ever will. For lack of a better phrase, you rock hardcore.
Awww! *snugs* Thank you! I'm so glad it actually worked, I was having such a crisis between what I wanted to do and where canon needed to go but it all came together.
And I still want to see you bring it justice! Fandom needs MOAR!
