Okay.... I put dress shoes in my big suitecase. I also dragged out my big zip-up boots which I understand will be not particularly effective against insurgency snow, but they'll do. I'll probably continue to live in the same jeans and tank top I have the last couple days and pack the jeans/t-shirts I will be bringing in the smaller suitcase along with dress clothes for work.
Speaking of work? I put my new resume up on Monster (again) with the stipulation that I do not want to work weekends. I think I've earned that, damnit. First shift, sure, second shift I'll live with, weekends? No. No longer. Bite me. ::flips off many potential employers::
And I'm calling Karen from "It's Just Lunch!" tomorrow to see what's up, mostly because it'll be uprariously funny to have me working on setting folks up with dates.
Status on yesterday's list:
1. Get my car looked at. Transmission stuff. - This has been declared a non-priority. Woot.
2. Procure a new cell phone. - If you have Cingular, get your phone insured. I lost mine a week or so agao, and the only way they'd let me get a new one on the cheap was if they stuck me and my family with another 2-year contract. Otherwise, it's $189 for a new phone. Meanwhile for folks walking in the door to set up a plan there's free phones or $49 Ericsson pieces of crap for the taking. Loyal customers? So solly. Me to Cingular: suck it.
(Now watch me get myself hooked up with an individual plan up there.)
3. Deposit the check BCBS of Minnesota randomly sent me for $372. - Done.
4. Stop questioning that check. - Also done, and whistling.
5. Get to Dr. Maohotra's office and have them refile that claim from Quest Diagnostic 'cause I'm not paying them $650. - Also done, and the lady who helped me was awesome. She thinks I'm nuts to leave Florida because it's so relaxed and stuff and I'm like "And boring." But she was cool.
6. Get a Zoloft scrip from Mrs. Dr. Meneses. - Done, and I'm probably still going to be on her massive "here's antoehr two weeks of free samples" pipeline. Who needs Canada when you have voerly-generous physicians?
7. Pack? Pack lots? Pack enough? - See above.
8. Hug mummy and papa. Lots. - Even if they're driving me bonkers in a "What's going to change when you go up there?" way.
9. Spazz. Spazz a little more. Hyperventilate. Spazz. - Also? Spazz.
