In which Keri obsesses, book by book.
"The Taint" - Fitz's first apperance
Torture! - Has the mystic "slug" removed form his neck by the Doctor, gets knocked unconscious.
Angst! - His crazy mum tries to kill him, then dies.
Sex! - Strips Sam to her skivies and tries to make her think they totally did it.
Fitzism! "People. They're all so stupid."
Upshot! - Wanted by the police for murder, his mum dead, Fitz opts to take off with the Doc and Sam. He probably comes to see this as a bad move.
"Demontage" - Kreiner. Fitz Kreiner.
Torture! - Gets lectured about his smoking by Sam.
Angst! - Adpating to life with an alien time traveler has its problems.
Sex! - None.
Upshot! - Spends part of the book using his lame James Bond man-of-mystery personas. Doesn't work.
"Revolution Man" - Revenge of the angst moppet.
Torture! - We're not told, exactly, but the Chiniese have to brianwash him somehow...
Angst! - Opperative of the Red Guard (the brainwashing starts the trend of his mind getting fucked with), girlfiend issues, being seperated from the Doctor for two of his Earth years... damn. And then there's the bit with shooting a guy inna head.
Sex! - He and Maggie so did it.
Upshot! - The sixties sucked, although he seems to have gotten to quite a few concerts including Hendrix, so there is that.
"Dominion" - Extradimensional hoopla.
Torture! - None significant, although most of the book does take place in Sweden.
Angst! - Almost (but not quite) wipes out a sentient race.
Sex! - Lusts after Kirsten, sort of, but nothing happens.
Upshot! - The first time we see Fitz cry.
"Unnatural History" - Attack of the OrmanBlum
Torture! - Is threatened by a unicorn, biodata tracking thingy, gets folded up into an extradimensional cupboard and stuffed into Griffen's pocket.
Angst! - Witnesses death of a friend, blonde!Sam v. dark!Sam perplextion, discusses the story so far from Kyra's couch.
Sex! - Gets busy with dark!Sam. A lot. Is said to be "pretty good" for someone from before the clitoris was discovered.
Upshot! - Lots of character development, lots of stuff to do, very good read. Squiggly hair notwithstanding.
"Autumn Mist" - Play it again, Sam.
Torture! - None
Angst! - Has a "moment" or two with Blonde!Sam about the previous book, pretends to be a Nazi.
Sex! - None.
Upshot! - A couple good moments, but this is Sam's book.
"Interference Book 1" - Mad Larry attacks.
Torture! - Erm... this won't make sense. Gets eaten by the Cold and brought back... eventually.
Angst! - Not much in this one, actually. Faction Paradox initiation, I think, but still. Also putting up with Laura Tobin.
Sex! - Nada.
Upshot! - Sets up for book 2, with the... chaos. Actually.
"Inty Book 2" - see above
Torture! - Eventually gets sucked into the vortex, where he hangs out for a bajillion years. Oh, wait, that's Father Kreiner. Who is Fitz 1.0. Uh...
Angst! - Contemplates suicide. And any trip inside Father Kreiner's head is just... earugh. "Well, I'm back."
Sex! - Finds out he's sterile, but that's a Remote thing.
Upshot! - Okay. This is where things go pear shaped. Fitz as we know him joins up with Faction Paradoox and becomes Father Kriener. He ALSO gets "remembered" and becomes Kode, who the TARDIS remembers back into Fitz. So from now on I'll be discussing Fitz v.2. unless stated otherwise. Just know that there are two Fitzes and be done with it.
"The Blue Angel" - Keri dozed in the sun halfway through this book, c. 2001
Torture! - None
Angst! - Surprisingly little.
Sex! - Ah, the infamous bit about Time Ladies/Lords being shaggable.
Upshot! - It's a Paul Margs novel, it makes no sense.
I'll continue this when I'm sober.
