The
dw100 Doctor Who drabble community is fantastic and amusing, so long as, you know, people actually write drabbles. A "drabble" is a piece of fanfic (or any fiction, really) of precisely 100 words. Drabbles may be ina series, but each one must be a self-contained story. Example:
"Crossover Hell"
"The hell was that?" Krys demanded, then blinked. He was standing in what appeared to be, literally, the middle of Nowhere, Nothing. He had company.25
"Dunno," remarked Fitz with a shrug. "But in my line of work, swirly vortex thingies usually mean 'dimensional transference.' "44
Gambit nodded in agreement. "An' dey are rarely good news, non?"55
"Not that I know of," Spike Spiegle replied.63
The four men glanced around the featureless plane they stood on. Four hands reach for cigarette packets. As each one lit up, the laws of probability caught them up and they dissapeared in a puff of ridiculousness.100

See? A complete story. Sort of. Now I could write a sequel to that as another drabble, but it would also be a complete story. Here endeth the lesson.
