a (mostly) functional post

Eek, I've been nudged! :)

I got a new laptop. Hopefully this will help push me to update more here. I do miss it.

For now, I have a question which relates to aforementioned new laptop:

I had over 4000 MP3s on my old computer. The hard drive of that one is still functioning completely fine (if you remember, I fell on it and crushed the screen), and I'd like to have all of my music back without going through the tedium of having to rip or download all of it from scratch. What do you think is the easiest solution?

Should I invest in an external hard drive for periodic backup of files like this? Should I somehow send/transfer them between laptops? Matt has some sort of program that will do this for me but we haven't managed to find it yet to install it, and I don't even know what the name of it is. Would any of you recommend something like that?

SUGGESTIONS PLZ K THX. :D

Hmm, I'm not even sure where I left off as far as regaling you with the tales of my life here. I went home for a weekish in February, by myself. That was good in the ways I hoped it would be--see my family, see my friends, see my hometown, get time to myself. I did get into a pretty minor car accident while I was there. My brother and I were coming home from a movie in Oswego. It had started to snow and the precipitation there was on the ground already had started to freeze, and I kinda lost control of the vehicle a little bit and slid into a guardrail. The whole right front fender (are there fenders on other parts of the car except for the front?) got dented and scraped a bit, along with some scraping and minor denting on the right side of the car. Actually, the fender got pushed back, which necessitated some body work in order to be able to open the passenger side door. Haha. But it really could have been much worse--no other cars were involved, no one was hurt, and the damage was pretty minimal. I still haven't gotten it completely repaired yet, but I'm most likely going to. Eventually.

We took Matt's sister Ruby to Boston last weekend to the Museum of Science. We're not sure what Ruby thought of the experience, lol, but we had a good time. :)

I have a plantar wart, which has been an absolute JOY to deal with. (Sarcasm.) I bought some Dr. Scholl's callus remover things at the grocery store, and kept them on the wart religiously for several days. The callus which had formed over the wart peeled off the other day, so I've gotten some relief there. The wart itself is still there, though, and I'm sure it's just going to be a matter of time before another callus develops and causes me great amounts of pain. I'm working on getting set up with a doctor here so I can get this shit frozen off or whatever.

Spring is nearly here (weather-wise) and I am thrilled.
