Firstly, thank you everybody for the happy birthdays that I mercilessly teased out of you! ;D And thanks to
belenen for the v-gift! *hugs entire friends list*
My birthday wasn't too bad. I spent the actual day fielding phone calls from various people (my brother called me as soon as he came home from school, aw) and went out to eat at the B'Ville Diner with my mom. The day after my birthday I went out to eat with my dad (at an awesome, lovely, fairly fancy restaurant in Baldwinsville called
Mohegan Manor), and talked to Matt on the phone because I passed out in the living room recliner pretty early Tuesday night before we got a chance to talk, haha. (I had a stretch of several days where I wasn't sleeping very well.)
I didn't get much in the way of material items--my dad bought me Women Who Run with the Wolves at Barnes & Noble which I'm excited to read, I got some money which was much-needed, and my aunt gave me a AAA membership--but that's okay, I didn't need much of anything.
Wednesday I went and got a haircut.
I'm wearing the necklace that
phuzzydee made me!
I like it a lot.
Today I drove to Syracuse to get some new padding and stuff on one of my braces. While I was waiting for them to finish that up, I went and ate at Taco Bell and stopped at Salvation Army to see if I could find any neat clothes. I ended up just getting a couple plain monochrome t-shirts and a CD of hymns sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. (I love church choirs!) The guy who gave me my food at Taco Bell was full of happy energy and had a nice big smile, and told everyone to "have a wonderful day". He made me smile.
Overall I'm in a good mood, but feeling very... disconnected, I guess. I'm not sure how to explain it and I'm probably too tired to try right now. Haha. Maybe I'll expound on that later; maybe not.
Happy May!
