House season 3 ep 17-> interesting thought

Now, I admit I'm a huge huddy fan and yes my observations are little biased, but I do believe I'm on the mark about this.

The previous episode was about a navy sergent who capillary problems, now if you remember, the guy also happen to have dated cuddy. 2 years ago at a hospital benefit, house happened to have seen him sucking face with cuddy.

The following episode we have a photographer who is pregnant and has a stroke. Its a definite reflection on cuddy's situation, trying to get pregnant at a late stage in one's life isn't exactly easy and cuddy being the strong willed woman she is, she needs reassurance that there is also hope for her and fights for the fetus inside Emma.

I find it amusing that Emma's photo of House that she has taken, shows him almost worried. Now this maybe coming out of obsessive Huddy fan, but I do believe House also sees how much this relates to Cuddy too. He knows how much it means for her to have hope to try again and part of the reason why he's so desperate to go away on vacation.

House has become so dependent on needing Cuddy for everything he decides to escape, he doesn't want the fetus dead but he is trying to find away from Cuddy from getting too close. Therefore he becomes fixated on his vacation, find the quickest way out.

But the most interesting part is when House and his team does the exploratory surgery on the fetus, as he drains the amniotic fluid from the Uterus, the fetus' hand wraps itself around House's finger. He's frozen and here's the thing, for all of David Shore's rubbish about a cynic bastard who happens to be a doctor, this is quite the opposite!

There's a connection, for someone who doesn't care more about the ultimate puzzle and himself, its an amazing fete.
He does realise it's human and the baby's life does mean something, now to him as well as Emma and Cuddy. I think and firmly believe his appreciation for creating a life is now finally recognised. I think he may have some appreciation for what Cuddy is going through and why it means so much to her.

And then finally at the end of the episode when Cuddy buys him a ticket for a holiday and when finally getting home, he rips up the ticket. Puts his feet up and watches his uncle on the galapogas island, a great giant turtle. As he tries to absorb the documentary, he subconsciously rubs hus thumb and forefinger together and looks down at it.
He was behaving the way a new Dad would behave, he's so amazed he's speechless and he's in awe! It was no coincidence that House and Cuddy were there in the surgery together, the baby really did have such a huge impact on House, something he was not prepared for!

Here's the funny thing Cuddy says, 'go away and be happy!' after giving him the tickets, maybe he does realise he can be happy with having people who are his own family (cuddy and baby) and be enjoy the experience without resenting either of them for it. I think he realises, should he wish to, he can pick himself out of his own misery by making the choice to want to be happy. I think Cuddy and bubba are his happiness, should he wish to grab hold of it

There is no doubt in my mind after this, that House does care for Cuddy and if anything confirms his possible consideration for creating his offspring (with Cuddy of course!). It is a magical experience, although maybe he may not recognise it or even acknowledge that. He may have a minute understanding as to why it was so difficult for Emma to give up the baby growing inside of her and why it means so much for Cuddy to have her own baby growing inside of her.

He maybe a male who is only after the puzzle but this episode and the previous showed that Stacy and Wilson weren't the only ones who can annoy and bother him so much. Cuddy is a huge part of his life and he would never get rid of her from his life.
I don't think he ever would have considered fathering a child but this episode did show him considering it and how moved he was by it. Looks like even babies have an affect on House and possibly melt him enough to be slightly more human than before.

Shore really should consider the baby angle and for him to be Cuddy's "sperm donor."
It may successfully work, let's just hope DS and co see it that way too...
