hosting a cookout
8 years ago when I bought my house, I wanted a nice modern kitchen so I have people over, host events, etc. Ok, so I've only attempted to do such things a few times. Saturday I am having a cookout, and wouldn't you know it, it's supposed to rain. I had hoped that we could spend the day outside, but Mother Nature may have other plans. We'll see how this goes. Right now about 20 people are definitely coming with 5-6 maybes, and a bunch of people who didn't reply at all. Think I have enough meat-- gonna grill some burgers, hot dogs, and sausage, plus make a pot of chili. I have some soda, lemonade, plus chips. I asked the guests to bring a dish to pass (guessing we may not need those chair for outside). I am hoping it goes well. Tomorrow night I plan on cleaning and vaccuuming the house. Saturday morning, I am taking some papers to Shred-o-rama, cashing my pay check, plus then pick up the meat, plus maybe some ice (depending if it's raining or not). I am hoping this goes well. Hope that I can keep the kids occupied, though if they are inside I may just have them in the family room and put movies on for them. Wish me luck!
