Changes...
Tomorrow is going to be a weird and strange day at work. Friday morning they fired my boss. It was quite a shock and since the higher ups were kinda vague on their reasons why, it just leaves some feelings of uncertainty. For now one of my coworkers, who the manager had made assistant manager as soon as she had enough experience to be considered supervisory eligible, will be in charge. I do like Jill, but I don't know if I want someone with only 8 years of experience in the field as my boss. I am not interested in the position, I like what I do, and a manger doesn't get to do the real work, they get stuck dealing with dealing with people and paperwork, etc. We just got a new instrument, they bought cars for our couriers, so I know my job should be safe-- they won't be closing the lab, but my boss was there for 20 years or so, manager for at least the last 10. It was just quite a shock and makes me feel a bit antsy.
