damnit.
so, basically 20 minutes before I left work for the dentist today, my boss walked into my office to find me crying hysterically because I lost an employee's check. A live check.
basically, I had the check cut on Friday for someone we were letting go on Monday. when the manager asked about it, I realized I no idea where it was. I tore my whole office apart, leaving (near as I can tell), two options:
1. I mailed the check to the employee
2. I mailed the check to another employee when I was sending out a whole bunch of other stuff.
I suppose there are other options, like "I left it somewhere in the office" or "it's in some random employee personnel file" but seriously, all of these seemed awful.
So yeah, hysterical, in my office. Not that long after my last evaluation, where my needing to work on not crying in the office was brought up.
SO I'M SURE TOMORROW WILL BE THE SUBJECT OF A SWELL DISCUSSION.
in other more awesome news, my dinner tonight was awesome. shaved asparagus sauteed in butter and garlic, mixed in with pasta. topped with parmesean cheese and plenty of butter.
