Smallville 9x18 Upgrade Spoiler
Yes. A post about a 9x18 Upgrade spoiler. Which I am very, very happy about, but I know some people aren't.
Red-K, baby! :P
It was confirmed by KryptonSite that there will be Red-K in 9x18 Upgrade, which is the episode that features the return of John Corben aka Metallo.
I am so PSYCHED. I love Red-K. I love Kal. He's an ass, but I still love him.
Upgrade was written by Drew Landis & Julia Swift, the writing team who gave us Pandora ("Lois, I died when you left." and the awesome goodbye scene between Lois and altfuture!Clark). And dude, Michael Rohl is directing this and he directed Rabid! (Rain scene, ftw!)

I don't know how the whole Red-K thing is gonna work - if Clark ingests some of it somehow or Corben now has a different colored Kryptonite heart (or he can change from red to green, etc).
I've seen some interesting specs - that perhaps Clark purposely goes within Metallo's range to get infected by Red-K. We could see him struggle with that side of himself and overcome the Red-K, essentially nullifying that color as a weapon against him. I love this idea.
But a part of me wants him to get some Red-K in his system, so we can see him go off on some of the people who need to be told certain things. I do like the idea of Clark purposely infecting himself more, though.
Either way, it's Red-K, and I'm going to love this episode! :D Red-K? Metallo upgrade? Lois being her own hero? Possible return of Kal?
