Today is my friend James' birthday. I started sketching this at 1am yesterday morning after I got home from dinner with my friends. This morning at about 11:50am I finished it. We're surprising him with a mini party tonight. I did my best to actually take some relevant step my step colouring photos.

Part way through the hair.
And now to demonstrate how I coloured the robe.
First the base.
Overlay with grey to mute it.
Add first lot of shading using the base colour.
Mute shading with more grey.
Darker shading with a different colour.
Soften the edges of the dark shading using a light grey.
