“Are you sure you want to be dating someone emotionally unstable?” Nino asked later when they had survived the embarrassment of going to Jun’s to fill up four flasks of tea and coffee and were at his apartment, or rather standing in front of his apartment door as he tried to pluck up enough courage to let him inside. It was strange, he could bring all manner of unsavoury nameless people back to his apartment for sex but it was terrifying to let him let his own boyfriend in. It was stupid and showed just how messed up he was. Jun though hadn’t pushed him and was quite content to stand beside him with his back resting against the wall as he muttered somewhat shyly;
“I'm sure I want to be dating you…and that means everything that comes with that, including you being emotionally unstable…”
“You say the sweetest things…” Nino chuckled flushing just a little bit but managing to find the courage to unlock the door and allow Jun to step inside. Jun wandered around a little his eyes falling onto the collection of Smurf figures that he had on his shelf in the living room and the games machines that were so old they barely worked anymore. It wasn’t a three story house like Jun’s and nor was it professionally decorated but it was his home and he was proud of it. More so when he thought of how hard his grandparents and some of his group had worked to put it into shape. Even the small table in the corner by the window which was a miniature recreation of his grandparent’s garden done in bonsai.
“You do bonsai?”
“Nope…My grandpa does bonsai…I lack a green thumb…” Nino answered with a laugh wishing that he could claim credit for the beautiful little garden. “It’s a miniature version of my grandparent’s garden…You’ll see it later…”
“…And this is where you pray?”
“Yup…It’s pretty ne?” Nino asked with a chuckle his arms wrapping around the slim waist as his mouth came to rest in the centre of his back. It was a strangely awkward kiss but it was nice. Jun’s hands come up to cover his and Nino sighed softly enjoying the moment more than words could adequately express. But there was something that he needed to get off of his chest and he sucked in a breath whispering “I slept with Nagase…”
“What? Nagase? But…He’s an arsehole…” Jun breathed somewhat shakily pulling out of the grip and turning to look at him. There thankfully wasn’t anything resembling hate in his eyes but there were some traces of disbelief and shock but there wasn’t hate and that give him the courage to continue.
“I know but I didn’t when it happened…It was when I first started university…He lives in the apartment above me…He saw me bringing home a guy from the bar one night and…Well the next day he said…He said why not him? And I thought why not?” Nino muttered hating how that sounded and he was more sure than ever that Jun was just going to walk out on him and he prepared his heart for that “I told you that I was fucked up! I told you that you shouldn’t be with me…”
“And I told you that it didn’t matter who you slept with or how many…” Jun growled reaching out and grabbing him by the shoulders before he could run away. “I don’t know why you felt that you had to tell me…”
“Because last night…Nagase he helped me carry the food upstairs and he asked me to give him a blow job…I refused and kicked him out…But he was there at lunch…He heard Masaki say that we were dating and I’m positive he’s going to do something…”
“If he does we’ll deal with it…But stop panicking okay?”
“…I’ll try…”
