against his will 116

“I am so sorry my husband…” Masaki whispered for the umpteenth time as they reached the inn where they were meeting up with the rest of the party. Sho gave his husband a smile holding open the door and allowing him to walk inside wondering why he was even bothering to apologise when he had already known that his husband wouldn’t turn down such a thing. Even if they only had a few shillings left Masaki was the type of person that would have given them away. It was just the kind of person that he was and it made him love him all the more for it.

“Masaki…I am not bothered…My home is your home…” Sho whispered gently his hand running up and down his arm “You can fill it until there is only standing room only if that is what you want…I love you, my love and I know that you would rather hurt yourself than turn away somebody that you can help…”

“I love you…” Masaki smiled his cheeks flushing brightly, looking so cute that Sho couldn’t help but lean forward and press his lips to his cheek as he passed by him “...But please stop trying to make me out to be something like an angel…”

“You are my angel…So I can make you out to be an angel if I like, my love…” Sho chuckled propelling him into the main lounge area. The only couple that were already there was Kazu and Jun who appeared to be talking in soft voices. From here it was impossible to see what they were talking about but Sho felt that, based on their expressions, it was something that was making them both happy. Sho’s eyes moved over his best friend’s face still finding the scar difficult to get used to, it marred his looks running from one cheek to the other over the bridge of his nose. Sho was positive that it would fade over time but it would never vanish serving as a monument to how much he loved his husband. His eyes moved to Kazu wondering when the boy would finally be able to tell Jun was already so clear in his face to anyone else that looked at them. The young lord was just as in love with his husband as the prince was him but he had much more in his life that he had to work though.

“You say so many sweet things even when I do so many stupid things...” Masaki sighed at him his beautiful face looking so distraught that Sho couldn’t help but let out a laugh as he cupped his cheeks and kissed him lightly on the nose and then mouth before saying again;

“It was not stupid, you took in a good boy and a man that probably would not survive without your help…” It was the truth and he knew that in his heart Masaki probably couldn’t agree with that more. Old man Willy appeared to be almost at deaths door and the child was that, a child much the same as he would have if it hadn’t been for Kazuko and even if Masaki hadn’t been there with him today he would have taken him based on that too. “There are plenty of rooms available in our home now and in the future…much more comfortable than a shack and wherever the poor boy was living…Now come, let us go to your brother…Some wine and food will stop you looking so worried, my love…”

“…I am still sorry husband I should have talked it over with you first…” Masaki whispered looking so forlorn that Sho couldn’t stop himself from pressing a little kiss to the corner of his mouth as he squeezed his hand tightly.

“You can the next time…Come on my love…”
