Bretby Hall part thirty-two
“I’ll have candy floss…” Nino mumbled flushing under the look the spotty youth serving them was giving them. It was an almost leer that was accompanied with narrowed eyes. His pink tongue darted out of his mouth and ran it over his lips. It was something that Ohno did a lot but unlike when his boyfriend did it the teen made him feel very uneasy. He inched closer to Ohno and tugged at his t-shirt as he paid for their treats. Ohno’s eyebrow rose up his forehead as he looked at him and Nino flushed a little more brightly feeling foolish that he was uncomfortable with a guy flirting with him when he was clearly dating a guy but he was.
*Thank-you* Ohno said briskly shoving the money into the man’s hand and ushering Nino away with a large bag of multi-coloured candyfloss and a rather large marshmallow lollypop on a stick that was made up of the same bright rainbow colours. “Here…” Ohno hummed handing him the bag of candyfloss before starting to room the plastic wrapper around his lollypop. Nino couldn’t help but stare at it as he brought it to his mouth and took a large bite leaving his teeth marks in the soft flesh. “What?”
“…Um…Nothing…I just never imagined you eating rainbow lollypops…” Nino answered tearing a hole into the plastic bag and pulling out a small piece of candyfloss. It had been a long time since he had tasted the overly sweet taste of candy floss but he still felt an odd sense of delight run down his spine as the candy melted on his tongue becoming hard for a second before completely disappearing.
“And I never imagined that you would look like a little kid when eating candy floss…You know that you have some attached to your bottom lip right?” Ohno chuckled swooping down and lapping at his lip taking away the clump of treat that was clinging to his bottom lip. “Tastes nice…”
“Per-Pervert!” Nino gasped loudly his face burning scarlet as he looked around to make sure that nobody was watching. Nobody was even looking in their direction but he could be sure that there were people thinking that he was disgusting. Ohno smiled licking his lips in almost the same way that the teen serving them had but unlike that spotty person he couldn’t deny the rush of heat that flooded through him when he watched the tongue move and he quickly tried to distract himself from it by clearing his throat and grabbing a hold of the hand that was holding the lollypop and bringing it to his mouth and biting it slowly enjoying the taste that flooded through him “Yours tastes like…I dunno…Fruit…Why does yours taste like fruit?”
“Because I have something different from you…” Ohno said with a laugh his hand darting into the bag and grabbing a large clump of his candyfloss.
“Hey!” Nino whined making another grab for the lollypop treat but Ohno dodged away from him sticking out his tongue before almost knocking into a group of twenty year olds in baggy tracksuits. They gave the impression of being scary but surprisingly they somehow managed to smile at them clear there to have a good time rather than start any trouble.

*Watch where you’re going mate, ‘kay?* They said in unison like they shared a hive mind and Nino’s lips twitched as he looked down at his trainers not surprised when his hand was caught and he was pulled forward by his boyfriend.
“Wanna go on the dodgems?” Ohno asked pulling them in that direction even though Nino hadn’t yet given an answer although it was a yes anyway. He was once again eating his candyfloss with great enthusiasm. The line for the dodgems wasn’t as long as the others had been and they were soon sitting facing each other in different cars the loud beeping sound ringing out as the electric mesh started to crackle. The machine jerked into life leaving driving straight into Ohno who was still clutching at his lollypop with one hand and driving with the other.
“Hey! Take it seriously! I’m coming after you!” Nino joked holding his candyfloss between his knees as he backed up almost regretting it when a serious look crossed over Ohno’s face as he took the lollypop between his teeth. Nino gave a gulp preparing to bet that Ohno had practiced this a lot in his time over here in England and although he had done it a few times and thought that he was pretty good Ohno was clearly better than he was and soon he was having to run around the large square away from his boyfriend trying to avoid the other riders. He laughed loudly wondering when exactly the last time he had been able to let himself go like this was. After about 15 minutes the sirens went again and the ride died filling him with disappointment but as there was around thirty junior school children waiting to come on they had no choice but to get off. His legs felt a little jelly as he moved and he was more than happy that Ohno was soon at his side holding him up with his arm wrapped around his waist.
“Come on…Let’s go for a hotdog…Or something…” Ohno chuckled having finished his marshmallow lollypop during the dodgems.
“Candy and then hotdogs? That isn’t in the right order…”
“Did you turn into a mother at some point?” Ohno laughed again his mouth nuzzling against his hairline and Nino let out a huff tugging out of his grip and walking at his side pulling out what was left of his candyfloss about to eat it before he was hissing like an angry cat when it was stolen again and Ohno’s mouth wrapped around his fingers. His tongue licked at the tips causing him to blush furiously yet again. “…hmm…I think it tastes better from your fingers!”
“Urgh! You really are a weird perve!” Nino huffed unable to bring himself to look at him or anywhere but at his shoes. Ohno gave him another little chuckle leading him through the crowds. At first he thought that they were heading to one of the many burger trucks dotted around but when he finally looked up he found that they were in the line for the UK’s largest travelling Ferris wheel “…What?! Why!”
“It’ll be fun! I promise!” Ohno said brightly having completely recovered from the ghost train. Nino scowled at him but sighed allowing him to inch them forward until they were sat in the open air compartment. His feet were resting on a small bar and another bar was pressed around his waist. Once they were supposedly secure Nino panicked when he felt the chair swaying backwards and forwards as they moved upwards to let more people on. Higher and higher they went until they were at the very top of the wheel staring down at the fair below them. The sun was starting to set with the last strands of light stretching over one of the many fields that surrounded the large field they were in. It was like he could see the entire world below him and although he was hating the feel of them swaying around he couldn’t deny that his breath caught at the beauty of what they were seeing. “You like it?”
“No…”
“You really aren’t a very good liar Nino…” Ohno chuckled squeezing his hand before he brought it up and kissed his knuckles “I…I have never told anybody this before…But…I …How would Mr Darcy put it? In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you…”
“Mr Darcy?” Nino gasped all colour leaving his face at the same time his heart sped wondering why he was so excited hearing those lines said to him while he was here dangling on the edge of the world. It probably couldn’t have been a more romantic moment or confession but all he could think to splutter was “Who told you…Aiba! Look I don’t love the book…I…i…”
“Seriously you are a rubbish liar and it wasn’t Aiba…I saw you reading it…” Ohno laughed as the ride lurched moving them back down again “You know you could give me a better answer…”

A/N: Ah the Ferris Wheel, I broke up with somebody on a Ferris Wheel…I really shouldn’t have as it was the hardest five-ten minutes of my life, I didn’t realise that it went around several times before stopping but…He was getting touchy feel-ly…The whole thing was awkward…>.<
