“We got the ship!” Kazu shouted loudly, running into the living room where Masahiko, his wife, Masaki, and Shoko were all sitting while at the same time pulling out his phone to show them “Look at it! I took pictures…It doesn’t even feel like you’re on the water…I guess that that’s because it was so still…”
“Wow…This…This is…” Masahiko hummed taking the phone from the excited hand and looking at what was obviously the main deck of a beautiful ship. The main deck was would with sun loungers and even a blue Jacuzzi situated in the middle. Kazu sat beside him nodding with a grin so wide that it had to be hurting his cheek muscles while Ohno stood beside the door with a softer smile on his face.
“The Storm Queen…Isn’t she beautiful?”
“I don’t know that much about ships…” Masahiko answered softly as he flicked through the 100’s of photos that Kazu appeared to have taken of Ohno’s ship having to admit that his heart was at the point of breaking now. There was still a few months to go since Kazu and Masaki graduated and he had always prepared his heart for the day they might want to leave…Masaki mostly…The boy loved his family but he had always had a wanderlust in him ever since he was a child. He had always been independent while Kazu…Kazu had stayed by his side, a homebody rarely even wanting to leave the house and then then he met his artist and now he was being taken from him. Masahiko knew that he would never have a favourite amongst his children, he loved them all equally but he supposed that maybe he had been a little more outspoken and outgoing in his love for his second eldest he had wanted Kazu to feel as if he truly belonged with them and in turn Kazu had become his little shadow he didn’t want to imagine that time when he would turn around and Nino wouldn’t be there beside him.
“My dear, smile…” His wife murmured gently in his ear holding onto his hand and Masahiko attempted to do just that his eyes going over the luxury ship that would be taking two of his children away.
“You are still welcome to join us whenever you wish, Aiba-san…” The artist hummed from his position by the door looking at him as if he could see right through him and Masahiko supposed that he was quite easy to read at that moment “We will let you know when and where we are likely to be and you could join us…”
“Please! We’d even let you have the master bedroom…Won’t we?” Kazu said with a nod obviously not realising what he had said, and implied, about the sleeping arrangements until Ohno cleared his throat with a panicked cough saying hurriedly;
“Fairy…I…Um…”
“Thank-you but…I think that we would be far more comfortable in one of the others…Perhaps near the room that you and Masaki will be sharing…” Masahiko teased lightly loving the blushes that came into both his son’s cheeks and his…Future Son-in-law…It was odd to think that when Ohno wasn’t that much younger than him but it was clear to him, and had been clear to him for some time now that that was what Ohno was going to be from now on. Kazu’s mouth dropped open his eyes bulging out of his head for just a second and Masahiko let out a laugh nudging his arm “Careful you’ll catch flies…So…Do we get to see this ship?”
“Yup…Next week we’re having a party…”
