Omega part 73
“Four sodas, and a black current juice please” He asked with the best smile that he could manage staring at the omega. It was rare for an omega to hold down a job on their own so he assumed that the beta who was hovering at his side was his mate. The omega went to fill the order and the Beta smiled warmly motioning to Satoshi and the children who were now attempting to play on a dancing type game. Satoshi looked pretty good with his feet moving over the floor skilfully but the children were messing up the score by getting in his way. Satoshi didn’t seem at all angry though as his smile was getting wider with each little miss step the children gave.
“Your bonded is adorable with your children, it’s rare that an alpha would spend so much time with the children” The beta smiled her warm chocolate brown eyes moving over Satoshi appraisingly in a way that caused Nino’s heart to tense. He had the overwhelming urge to growl at her and inform her that Satoshi was his.
“Satoshi isn’t like other alphas. He’s special” He announced loudly so that the omega could hear him “But they’re not our children. We’ve only just bonded, they’re his nieces and his nephew. But he is adorable with them” He agreed happily his eyes moving to his husband again as Junta shrieked with laughter. He saw that Satoshi had piled the kids onto his body with Junta on his shoulders, Gina on his back and Maki in his arms. He wasn’t completely sure how he was managing it but he was somehow managing to keep moving on the floor and was scoring more points than ever. He couldn’t believe the change in the children since when they had first met and it broke his heart to know that he would soon have to hand them back over to what was basically Kiyoshi’s murderer.
“He is going to be incredible when you have children of your own” The beta smiled as the omega came back carrying a tray with the requested drinks. His face was a little easier now as though he believed what he was saying “Here you go, four sodas and a juice”
“Thank-you, how much do I owe you?” He asked slowly taking out Satoshi’s wallet and raffling through the thick wad of notes trying his best not to react with too much surprise at how much there was in there. “Can get a couple of snacks to go with the drinks please?”
“Sure, what kind?” The beta asked with a smile and Nino quickly pulled a face knowing what kind of things he would like but nothing about things that a kid would. He didn’t want to overload them with too much sugar but at the same time he wanted to go all out and give them anything that their little hearts might desire.
“The kind that kids might like? Neither my husband or myself get to spend a lot of time with them” He breathed knowing that these people, no matter how friendly they were, didn’t need to know all about their private life.
“Really? That’s surprising. Your husband looks like a natural. Won’t be long before he’ll be demanding some of his own”
“We’ve already decided to wait until after I’ve finished school”
“I see, a new breed of alpha, I like it” The beta chuckled putting down a mix of healthy and not so healthy snacks onto the tray. “Could use more of them in the world”
“My husband is going to make it so there are” Nino said with confidence turning back to Satoshi who was looking at him with a smile on his face now and Nino couldn’t resist waving his hand at him before adding in his mind ‘But before we change the world we have to change those kids lives and fast’
