How I met your birthing father part 5
“And did you daddy?” Kazuhiko asked softly his eyes wide with fear and Nino wanted nothing more than to wrap his arms around him and sooth away the horror that he could see in those brown eyes. His little Kazu was always so afraid and now it was clear that he was so caught up in the story that he hadn’t realised how silly that question was. Takahiko on the other hand rolled his eyes and smacked his brother on the top of his head huffing out;
“Of course they did stupid or papa wouldn’t be here now!”
“Ow! Taka hitted me! Papa! I’m not stupid! You’re stupid!” He breathed tearfully and Nino really did pick his littlest child and hugged him to his body kissing the top of his head softly.
“Taka don’t hit your brother…And Kazu…Of course daddy got me back…You wouldn’t really think that he would leave me with hunters do you?” he asked soothing away the tears before they had a chance of really starting and Kazuhiko sniffed a little his lower lip still sticking out in a pout before he shook his head and rubbed the corner of his eye as he said quietly;
“No papa…Daddy would getted you back!”
“Of course he would and did…” Nino responded looking up at Satoshi who was leaning against the headboard with a happy smile on his face. He often had that look on his face when he was watching him with the children. It was the look of pure joy and contentment and Nino enjoyed seeing it. He wasn’t the best or the most submissive of mates for the pride leader but it did make him happy to have given Satoshi so much joy.
“...Of course I did…I’m a king ne…I would be nothing without my queen…” Satoshi chuckled ruffling both the children’s heads and causing their hair to stick up at strange angles.

Nino cursed silently wondering how he always managed to get involved with things that he didn’t understand. He hadn’t been expecting to be set upon by two men, drugged, and then bundled up like a rabbit caught in a trap in the back of a small carriage. Logically he told himself to stay calm the lion inside of him wanted to roar at the treatment he was receiving at the hands of the two men but he squished it down the best that he could though he supposed that the drug which was still in his system was helpful to that. He was scared, there was no denying that, he had no idea what the men wanted with him or what they were going to do when they carriage that he was in came to a stop but he doubted that it would be anything good.
He hoped that Satoshi would come for him but he didn’t want Satoshi to think that he was weak or unable to look after himself. The jostling of the carriage stopped and Nino waited with baited breath for the door to open. There wouldn’t be any chance of escape with both his hands and legs tied but he wanted some air, his head achy and thick with the drugs that had been used, and he hoped that he would be able to plead with the pair and gain his freedom that way. Unfortunately, the carriage door never opened not even when he felt his kidnappers alighting with a creaking of springs.
He could hear muffled voices but his head was too foggy and the walls of the carriage too thick for him to pick out anything more than a jumble of words that made no sense. Harsh laughs flittered through the wood and he shivered almost violently his teeth chattering as he somehow realised that these two men would not listen to his pleading even if he was able to do so. Panic washed up inside of him and he could feel his lion stirring yet again but once more he squished it down telling himself that Satoshi would come for him.
He still wasn’t sure of a lot of things about the alpha lion or about his place in the pack but he knew that Satoshi would come.

Satoshi ran through the forest, stopping every now and then to lift his face up into the air and to sniff for the scent of his bond mate. He was half glad half scared that his theory of the direction they would be traveling in had proved to be right and he hoped that Nino was still unconscious from the drugs that they had used and if not he was managing to stay calm. He let out a roar as he realised that the scent was getting fresher meaning that he was catching up with the carriage and the people inside. He recognised the scent of one of his lover’s kidnappers and it was enough to drive him harder and faster than he had ever gone before determined to find his Nino before it was too late.
