Ello again. Been a while since I've posted a real post here.
So after a year and a half there, a year of that on night shift, I'm seriously trying to get out of walmart. Getting off of nightshift and onto days at walmart, not likely to happen. So I've started putting in applications elsewhere.
I'm hoping I'll get a call back from Ukrops, I'd love to get a FT dayjob there, and FT means less stress for benefits/income. The house I put in for work around kiddos school schedule just fine, and D would adjust his hours to work around bus schedule if I do get FT.
Other place I already have an interview scheduled for is Kmart, where Danny's now working. That would be PT, and we would be looking into getting our own insurance privately since neither of us would have FT status.
One more place I'm hoping to apply to tomorrow, Target. It's dayshift, and I've got a TON of cashier experience, so I'm hoping.
Either target or Ukrops would likely be FT, which id what I'd prefer for the budget.
D's getting pretty well FT hours now, though it may take a while for FT status. So budgetwise, me being PT wouldn't be too bad. Main concern is health insurance. I'm going to get D to bring home the benefits info from his work, as there is likely at least benefits to cover yourself for PT status employees. If so, then he and I can both cover ourselves through Kmart, and we'll get kiddo onto FAMIS, VA state's low cost insurance for kids. Otherwise, I've started looking into affordable options for private health insurance and have found a few.
For the moment, we're rebalancing household things as D and I are basically both working FT right now. That's a little more stressful on relationship, but budget at the moment is very happy and we're taking the time to put money into savings to prepare for me to go to PT at some point in the future, exact time TBD.
