Birthdays, Christmas & New Years's, oh my!
I just got back from Rachel's birthday party. It was weird seeing everyone again. Not uncomfortable weird, but it was weird in the sense that I haven't seen/talked to most of them in five years or so. It was almost like a mini high school reunion. It was nice, but the waitress was horrible. It took us three times asking her to get water and she only came over to our table every half hour or so. I don't think that I'm gonna be going back there very often. I wasn't that impressed with Sports Venue
Anyhow.....
Christmas was alright. I got two movies - well technically three, but I got doubles of The Devil Wears Prada (Memoirs of a Geisha was the other movie). I also got gift cards galore. One to Target (my most favey fave store!) for $100, $50 gas card and $25 to Lane Bryant. I also got one to Wal-Mart when I took back one of the movies, so I have $21.16 to spend there. I also got pajamas which I told my grandmother I didn't want but now am very glad that she didn't listen to me :D I also got a nice dressy shirt and $100 cash. Lauren got me Christmas-y shower gel and the awesomest pair of shoes from Cato that we found on clearence for $2.99. The day after Christmas I found what was left of my shoe in my dog's mouth and pieces of it all over my room. There have been very little times in my life that I have been so angry that I couldn't speak and this was one of those times. It was about a full three hours before I could speak again. I shed a few tears as I threw what was left of my beautiful new shoes in my trash can.
To make matters worse, while I wanted nothing to do with her, my dog wouldn't leave me alone. She hopped up on my bed and scratched to be let under the covers (she likes to burrow underneath them for some reason). What's even worse than that....I let her.
I went shopping on Wednesday with Lauren to spend all my Christmas money. I bought two new pairs of shoes, a new scarf and matching gloves and new bra at Target. I also bought two calendars at the mall (we were supposed to go to 12 Oakes in Novi, but ended up at Westland....blech!). I know I don't need two, but I couldn't make up my mind and since they were 50% off it was like "Buy one, Get one free." I bought a Miami Ink calendar and a French Impressionists calendar. We also had dinner at the Chinese place in the mall....I will not be going back there either. Or at the very least I won't be ordering the General Tso Chicken from there ever again. It had a very hweird after taste.
I am hopefully going to be hanging out with Jessica and Nicole tomorrow. I haven't seen Nicole since she got in because she's sick and I really don't need/want to get sick right now. I suppose that doesn't matter since everyone in my house has been or is currently sick including but not limited to my mom, Tom, my brother, my sister and her husband, my cousin and of course at least one of the dogs. I have been lucky thus far and have not caught it, but who knows how long that is going to last considering that I am not feeling 100% right now. However, it might just be because I'm tired as hell.
So far I have no plans for New Year's Eve. I was going to hang out with Jessics, Eric & Co. but Jess and Eric are leaving for Florida early on Monday so they aren't going out. At least they aren't to my knowledge. I've other invites, but I truthfully just don't feel like doing anything but staying in and watching movies. I'll probably rent a few, get some popcorn and candy and have a little movie marathon. Wow...I'm lame.
