FOUR DAYS!!!
That's the current countdown time til my "babies" land at O'Hare to stay for a little over 2 weeks!!!
Emmy was supposed to bring her best friend, but due to family issues she can't come. So now we have to find ways to keep a 13yr old boy AND 16yr old girl amused. We do have some stuff planned like Navy Pier and a museum or two on the 14th, a BBQ on the 15th, Ren Faire the 21st, a day trip up to the Dells to ride the Ducks(what the HELL IS A DUCK?!), a trip to Door County for trolley tours(we plan on the Ghost Tour), the Drive-In in Kenosha(last one in Jersey closed about 10 years ago), horseback riding and panning for gold at the Kettle Moraine Ranch in Eagle WI, Milwaukee Zoo, and a Harry Potter movie outing.
As if all this wasn't exciting enough, we've gotten a new roomie. Beth's boyfriend, Joe, who is a fellow Manager at the Castle has moved in as of last Friday. They've only been together for a little over a week officially, but family issues caused him to need to move out of his dad's house and we have half a basement so we've got him. They're really cute together, it's really odd but it seems like they've been together forever and he TOTALLY fits in with our off the wall, wacky, family. Even Carli is comfortable with him and she doesn't usually warm up to people quickly. So on Thursday not only are the kids arriving but Joe moves in officially(furniture and such). Upside is I'm getting a queen sized bed out of the deal since he has TWO!! YAY!!! me!
Now for the boring stuff that only a couple of you will understand or care about:
the doctor upped my Thyroid meds by 50% from .100mg to .150mg(Rebekah/Dali is that normal?)
I have to admit I've felt better since he did.
I gave in and got the Detrol for bladder issues and have been MUCH happier since. It will especially be nice with all the running we're going to be doing with the kids.
He also gave me 2 new asthma meds, Zopinex inhaler and Singulair tablets(daily). With the heat and humidity my asthma been a real issue and with activities that will require more physical exertion than I'm used to so I'll need them.
Well damn, but that's the longest post I've made in a LONG time... hehe at least everything is all good for now.
*hugs*
kids.
